Die moving poets bieten Künstler*innen aus den Bereichen Tanz, Theater, Film, Musik und Performance die Möglichkeit, kurze Stücke zu präsentieren und in einen künstlerischen Austausch zu gehen. Als interdisziplinäres Kunstprojekt wurden die moving poets 2009 an der University of Michigan geboren und finden seit 2011 ein- bis zweimal im Jahr in der TanzTangente statt. Der Fokus des Abends liegt auf dem zeitgenössischen Tanz in all seiner Vielfalt. In der Verbindung mit anderen Künsten suchen wir den Kontext und die Sichtweise auf Tanz zu erweitern.
